 Perspective Events started with the goal to bring more to event spaces. Since 2009 we’ve been working hard at curating a one of kind experience with our design process and creating atmospheres. We have also built an inventory of decor items that help anyone create a unique experience for their guest.


Lauren

Lead Designer/Executive Director

Before moving to the Okanagan, owner and lead designer Lauren Kraushar, completed her Associates Degree in Applied Arts and trained under one of North America's top event designers in Vancouver.  

When she is not designing events she plays "supermom" and teacher to her three free-spirit children, and wife to a tenacious husband.  She (and her husband) dream of the day that she has time finish all of her not quite done projects, but for now... family and design are what fuels her, oh yeah, sleep, she sometimes sleeps too.

Ashley

Rentals Manager/Associate Designer

Ashley is our resident “do it all” gal. She keeps track of all of our inventory and designs for our amazing clients. Honestly if you have a question likely she will be the one who can answer it. And thankfully, she helps keep Lauren’s hoarding habits in line. She also brings her design talents to her clients, and brings together decor visions with ease. Her design aesthetic is modern and elegant, but loves a challenge in design as well.

She even comes paired with an amazing husband who tags along at events, and does all her heavy lifting (and ladder work due to her fear of heights) Thank you Jake!! Good things do usually come in twos.

Nicole

Warehouse Manager/Associate Designer

Nicole keeps our warehouse in tip top shape! Makes sure all our rental items are in amazing condition, and packed up properly to make it to your event. With her experience in the event industry she also brings her amazing design skills to her clients, creating beautiful atmospheres for memories.

When not with us she runs her own coaching business, and is mom to an energetic and wise son. We love having her energy and spirit here!

Tyler

Delivery Manager/Custom Builder

Tyler helps with all our warehouse reno’s, and make sure that deliveries get to you and picked up on time with exceptional service. But really, he spends most of his time just trying to annoy Ashley.

He’s also been behind the business for years, being Lauren’s husband, he has helped far too many times to strategize, lead, and support Lauren over the last 11+ years. Honestly we wouldn’t still be here, if we didn’t have his mind, expertise, and work ethic.


Helena

Warehouse Assistant

Helena is our get it done gal, and does it all with a smile! You’ll likely meet her when picking up or dropping off rentals, or possibly on site of an event.

She enjoys dogs (please bring yours if your coming for a visit) and being cretive in many different avenues.

Perspective Events is a Boutique Decor Rental and Design Company located in Kelowna, BC.  We have a large selection of high end event rentals including candle holders, table linens, lounge furniture, tables, chairs, and much more.  Some of the services we offer include design of event spaces, set up and clean up labour for event decor, and delivery and pick up of event rentals, and custom builds.


We have been in business for about 13 yrs, but the scale and quantity of events has dramatically increased over the years.  We are a company that is continuing to grow by the day and are looking to build a strong and lively team!

Our company culture is one of adaptability, creativeness, and hardworking team work.  Its fast paced and often requires working outside in the hot sun, lots of heavy lifting, and moving things around.  It is not for the faint of heart.  We work on very specific timelines and sometimes push our abilities to exceed our clients expectations.  We are also a part of a bigger event community, working as a team with a larger team to bring events to their full fruition.  Hours are also not consistent, we work when things need to get done and often around other business’ schedules to make as little impact as possible on other operating business’.

This industry is fun, and the work brings a lot of fulfillment to those who love it.


At Perspective Events we work as a team to make our client’s visions come to life.  Events are not just parties to us, they are a canvas for memories to be made.  These memories will also be made all throughout the planning process, so although some of our clients are only working with us a short while, they are still part of our community.  We also understand that those memories will be impacted by our ENTIRE team, whether or not you have direct contact with the client, you make an impact on their event and the process before and after that event.  SO, the environment we create in our workplace is often even more important than an environment we create at the event site.  I will always be doing my absolute best to ensure that you are provided with the tools and atmosphere you need to do your job productively, the team to support you in your role, and a community within our organization that will care for, respect, and help you.  And in the same way it is what we will expect from you to give to the team as well.  Every role in this organization is important for the whole team to be happy and effective, and although we know not everyone is perfect all the time, we all will be trying our absolute best.


Position - Truck Driver

permanent/casual

Role Includes:

  • Loading and unloading trucks for delivery to events

  • Driving and delivering rentals

  • Set up of some rentals or event installs may be required

  • Pick up of rentals 

  • Unloading truck and some organization of rentals at our warehouse

This position is perfect for someone self directed who is comfortable being unsupervised, and driving a 12’ - 20’ cube van.  You must be physically able to lift heavy items and assist with moving furniture and setups.  As this position deals directly with our clients, someone who shows adaptability, great communication, and the ability to problem solve is desired.  Because of the quality of our items and service it also requires a large attention to detail.

Time Commitment

Delivery driver shifts are typically weekends from Friday to Monday, although some weekday jobs may become available.  They are split shifts, the hours are all dependent on how long the deliveries and pick ups take, as well as how many events we have that weekend.  This position may require late night shifts.  Many of our pick ups are between the hours of 10pm and 3am.

  This seasonal position would be between 4 and 32 hrs per week, with the potential for year round flexible employment.

Position - Delivery Assistant

Position - Event Staff

Seasonal/part time

Room for promotions within the company and possible year round work.



Role Includes:

  • Unloading the trucks (heavy lifting will be involved, along with moving of furniture)

  • Taking directions from Event Lead to set up decor for event

  • Taking down decor at the end of event (some late night shifts will be involved)

This role involves lots of heavy lifting, taking directions from an Event Lead, and using self direction to get tasks done.  We are part of a team on site and the face of the company.  While on site this role is one that shows our company values in the works, we need people on our team who show characteristics of adaptability, quality, and great communication.  Because of the quality of our items and service it also requires a large attention to detail.


Time Commitment

Weekends are when most events are, there will be some midweek events. Hours are all dependant on what events we have that week and what you are available for. They could be 4 hrs to 32 hrs per week.  There is a possibility of midweek work at our studio as well, helping with cleaning rental items, prepping rental items, and other day to day tasks.

Events are held all over the Okanagan Valley, we will sometimes be able to accommodate travel to event sites, but having easy access to transportation is a large plus.
